$1,700 Settlement for Lost Jail Property

Washington State’s King County Jail has paid $1,703.04 to settle the lost property claim of Donald Encinas, who was booked into the Jail in May 1999. Upon entry, he had his father’s 1957 class ring with a natural ruby, sunglasses, bic lighter, suede jacket, Wrangler jeans, horsehair belt with a handmade Indian beaded buckle and a novelty t-shirt. Upon release, the property could not be located.

Acting pro se, Encinas settled the matter on April 1, 2004. The documents related to this claim are on PLN’s website. See: In re Encinas, King County Claim No. 32997.
