$650 Settlement for Lost Property, Stolen Identity Claim

Washington State’s King County Jail has paid $650 to settle the lost property claim of Dion K. Humphrey. In December 2002, the Jail gave Humphrey’s social security card, driver’s license and clothes to Scott Williamson, who had stolen Humphrey’s identity. The claim form states that Humphrey was also being held in Jail for charges committed by Williamson.

Acting pro se, Humphrey settled the claim on July 20, 2005. The documents related to this claim are available on PLN’s website. See: In re Humphrey, King Co. Claim No. 33873.
