$13,500 Settlement in Premise Liability Claim
Washington State’s King County Jail has paid $13,500 to Sandra K. Thompson for injuries that occurred when she stepped in a hole in the sidewalk of the Juvenile Justice Center, which caused her to step into a bigger hole. As a result, she ruptured her right Achilles’ tendon and injured her left ankle. The September 4, 2001 incident required medical attention at an emergency room.
