$23,000 Settlement in Auto Accident by Seattle Jail Employee
Washington State’s King County paid $23,094.30 to settle the claim of Larisa Labaz, who was driving through an intersection on a green light when county employee Debra Hindman ran a red light in a juvenile division vehicle and hit Labaz’s 2003 Ford Focus, totaling it. The September 8, 2003 accident also caused Labaz knee, shoulder, neck and back pain.
Labaz settled for $9,989.30 for the property damage on March 12, 2004 and for $13,000 for other damages on December 31, 2004. Labaz also received costs of $105.
