$7,500 Settlement for Disabled Prisoner’s Excessive Force Suit Against Jail Guard

Washington State’s King County Jail has paid $7,500 to settle the excessive force law suit of Sean T. Tandberg. While at the Jail on May 20, 2002, Tandberg was taken to the “hole” by guard “Robles.” At the time, Tandberg was on crutches. Robles “threw” him into the cell, “exacerbating” his pre-existing injuries and causing emotional distress.

Represented by Tukwila attorney Donna Beasley, Tandberg settled the matter on May 22, 2006. The documents related to this claim are available on PLN’s website. See: Tandbert v. King Co. Dept. of Adult Detention, King County Superior Court, No. 05-19063-9 SEA.
