Washington DOC Agrees to Pay $965.44 After Woman’s Car Was Struck by Debris
On December 14, 2005, the Washington Department of Corrections (DOC) Agreed to pay $965.44 to a woman whose car was damaged after a piece of particle board fell out of a DOC truck.
On October 21, 2005, while driving down the F25, a large piece of particle board flew out of the back of a DOC truck, hitting Marla Waarvick’s car.
Mrs. Waarvick filed a tort claim for the damage to her vehicle. The DOC paid the $965.44 claim without the need for suit.
