This is a request for public law enforcement records pursuant to R.C. 149.43. Please provide
records reflecting the following:
1.
All use of force policies and procedures;
2.
All policies and procedures related to the use of tasers, electronic control devices,
or similar devices including but not limited to authorized use, post deployment
investigation, and unit service and maintenance;
3.
All records reflecting the age of each taser, electronic control devices, or similar
devices in service at your department;
4.
All training materials relating to tasers, electronic control devices, or similar
devices;
5.
All policies and procedures relating to verbal de-escalation;
6.
All policies and procedures related to use of force continuums;
7.
All policies and procedures related to police interaction with mentally ill citizens.
A response within eight days is requested. Reasonable copy costs will be paid. Producing the
material in electronic format is acceptable. Thank you for your cooperation.
