$47,000 Settlement In Washington Employee Wrongful Termination Suit
In 1998 the Washington State Department of Corrections settled a law suit
with Debra M. Schruder for $47,000. In 1995 Ms.Schruder was terminated from
her position as a guard. Ms.Schruder was injured while working for DOC and
while she was recovering from her injuries she was terminated. DOC failed
to accommodate Ms.Schruder and allow her to continue as a DOC employee and
for that reason she filed suit and won $47,500. Plaintiff was represented
by Bellevue attorney Charles A. Kimbrough, Law Offices of Charles A.
