$1,500 Settlement for Prisoner-on-Prisoner Assault at Seattle Jail

Washington State’s King County paid $1,500 to settle the claim of prisoner Steven L. Morris, who claimed that as he concluded a visit on December 24, 2003 at the Regional Justice Center King County Jail, he was attacked by another prisoner who was not properly “racked” in his room in administrative segregation. Morris sustained cuts, bruises and back pain.

Morris, acting pro se, settled the claim on July 19, 2007. The documents related to this claim are available on PLN’s website. See: In re Morris, King County Claim No. 35458.
